St. Anne Catholic School Council Nominations Update

Thank you to all who responded to our recent request to nominate themselves or others as voting members of the Catholic School Council. The following names were submitted:

Sabrina Iannuccilli: I am a parent of 2 students and I have had the pleasure of co-chairing on the St. Anne CSC for almost 6 years. I hope to continue advocating for all teachers and students. I am ready and willing to coordinate resources, speakers and overall support for our community!

Josie Belluomini: I have had the pleasure of being part of the CSC since attending St. Anne two years ago and the honour of sharing the Co-Chair position this past year.  Prior to St. Anne, I was privileged to Chair the CSC for 4 years at our previous school. Being a part of this advisory committee has allowed us to provide resources and programs accessible to students that support their learning and development.  Working closely with staff has further supported their needs and has helped to bridge the gap between the staff/student community and the parent community. As a member of the Ontario Public Service I take pride in the frontline work we do for all Ontarians as I equally take pride in the work we do as members of the CSC for the betterment and future of all of our children.

Melisa Malfara: I am a parent of two and I look forward to the possibility of being the secretary of the CSC for my third year. I bring my administrative executive skills to the council. I can’t wait for all the wonderful things we will be creating for the students and families of St Anne’s.

Shelley Beaudry:  I am the parent of two children at the school and have been a part of the school council for the last 7 years.  The last two I have held the Treasurer position.  My background is in Human Resources, with focused experience in Canadian payroll and Global Mobility taxes and I currently work at one of Canada’s large Banks. It is my experience with numbers and accounting processes that make me comfortable with the role of Treasure for the council.

Sarah Makarians:
I would like to nominate myself as a voting member of the Catholic School Council. My son is in grade 8 and has been at St. Anne since JK. I have been on council for 10 years and I would like to continue to help out and contribute to the well-being of the students in the school.

Judith Idemudia: I am a mother of three (two students). I am an IT Risk Consultant with a background in engineering. I have worked on council for the last three years. I have an interest in enhancing our children’s extracurricular educational programs.

Nada Tiberio: I am a returning council member. I work in a global Digital Marketing/Demand Generation role, wanting to support growth and community in the school to enrich the experience of the students. I was a past committee member for Pizza Lunch and Language committee. I have lead the Spirit Lunch committee for the last 2 years and I am still interested in leading it once it starts up again.

Ada Esonwanne : I am a parent of three at the school and have been part of the CSC for the last year. I am currently a high school science teacher and have a background in business as well. I have been involved in supporting mental health, anti-racism and black history month initiatives. I look forward to working with the CSC for another exciting year!

Ivanna Yana Williams: I am a mother of two students at St. Anne. The combination of extensive multicultural background, professional expertise and dedication to everything I do will help make our school system an inclusive, diverse and well-structured jumpstart point for our children’s future. Having lived in 3 different countries, Ukraine, UK and Canada I was able to absorb the effective practices as well as gained the knowledge of things that don’t work. The world is becoming a different place of what we know it, and we need to ensure our children are getting the right tools, skills and abilities to succeed. I’m a successful business owner who is able to lead the companies in both Canada and UK. I’m a passionate community member, who believes ‘it takes a village to raise a child’. Most importantly I’m the mother of 3 beautiful children ages 6, 5 and 2. I believe in diversity, the diversity that is in your heart, the diversity that is truly inclusive. I believe in equal opportunity, the one that does not distinguish on any criteria. I believe in change, as if we are ready and willing to change, adapt and re-evaluate we are ready to go further.

These nominations were captured at the end of the day on October 7th, 2020. Any nominations entered/submitted after the due date have not been captured here, however, you’re still able to be an active voting or nonvoting member of the CSC and we welcome you!
